Iran is willing to resume nuclear talks with the United States on condition that it is approached with "dignity" and "honor", Tehran's top diplomat has stated.

Abbas Araghchi declared exclusively dialogue produced results, and revealed recent overtures had been made by mediators to restart negotiations with the US government. He said Iran did not have undeclared nuclear sites, and Iran had not yet reached a point to allow the global atomic watchdog to access struck enrichment centers for protective measures.

Walking a Challenging Path

Araghchi is walking a difficult route since Iran wishes not to appear to be operating from a position of weakness, and he consistently maintained that Iran had arisen more resilient militarily and psychologically from the joint assault on its enrichment centers in June.

He was addressing at a defense forum in Tehran where he reiterated that Iran had "an absolute privilege to refine atomic fuel domestically that it will always maintain" – the key factor of the stalemate in the previous talks.

Earlier Discussions Suddenly Concluded

The previous five rounds of discussions between the United States and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and hostile conclusion on 12 June when Israel, with US support, struck Tehran's atomic facilities in a fortnight-long engagement that concluded with Donald Trump declaring the facilities had been obliterated.
